Travesia is a refurbishment of a mid-century apartment in the heart of Condesa, materialized as a collaborative journey discovering Mexican traditional artisans and techniques. The house opens up to the green oasis of Nuevo Leon Avenue, through green balconies and a permeable façade. The movement through the house is conceived as a sequence of materials, colors and textures that take you to remote areas in Mexico, exploring their local crafts and processes. Through the collaboration with artisans and maestros unique natural finishes and furniture are crafted. The result is a is a polyphonous juxtaposition of atmospheres, memories, techniques and cultural manifestations that merge into a harmonious eclectic whole.
